Getting here by train...

Armathwaite Station (4 mins walk) is on the world famous Settle to Carlisle Railway....lots of our guests travel to us by train, shop locally at our well stocked village store or enjoy good quality locally sourced food at one of our local pubs. Carlisle is just 15 minutes by train!

FAQ

• Q: Can I bring my dog? A: Yes, we love dogs....all we ask is that you don't allow them to use human furniture / beds and you clean up after them. NB - Your dog could escape from the enclosed courtyard if they're particularly agile...and before you know it will be deep in the woods!!! :/

• Q: Can I park on-site. A: Parking is available on the roadside for one vehicle. Please park additional vehicles (or vans) in the village centre (<2 mins walk away)

• Q: Is there EV Charging available locally? A: No, not at the cottage, - but the closest rapid chargers are at M6 Services (Moto Southwaite South)...just 10 mins drive away (you are able to access from local roads).

• Q: Can we bring more than 6 / invite guests? A: No. Our insurance does not cover over-booking. The maximum occupancy is 6 Adults and 1 infant (<1 year old)

• Q: Can you provide a cot / highchair etc. A: Yes - please let us know before you arrive and we'll provide and set these up for you (*space for a travel cot is within first bedroom)

• Q: Are you overlooked. A: Yes - we have a lovely neighbour opposite.

• Q: How does the stove work: A: The burns logs ONLY. We'll provide some 'get you started' supplies ...after that, good, cheap hardwood is available in net bags from the village stores.
